I don't agree with you at all. You shouldn't limit a great player from playing if they're good. Most people can't pitch underhand, so you're only going to get one or two pitchers per team. It really doesn't hurt to throw underhand as much as overhand. Our pitcher pitched 8 games in one day at the state tournament. She threw over 800 pitches in the tournament and her arm was perfectly fine. It seems as though the only people that want this rule are the people that have to play against a team with a very dominant pitcher. No one wants to have to lose to a team for four years in a row because their pitcher knows seven pitches and can pitch in the mid-60s. But you shouldn't make a rule so that the team without the really good pitcher can win. You'll most likely only get one of these pitchers (at your school) once. You have to use her while you have her.

octopus are smart creatures. my marine bio teacher used 2 own a pet shop full of fish and he had an octopus. what had happened was that every night the octopus would lift up the top of the tank, walk over to other fish tanks then grab and eat the fish. when my teacher discovered this, he had to put bricks on the top of the tank to the octopus wouldn't eat anymore fish. so my word of advice is if you have a fish tank, make sure your octopus is not able to escape and eat your other fish.

A few years ago I house-sat for this woman who had this really cool houseplant that I am trying to locate. The plant was reddish, with leaves that were small to medium size and pretty triangular, and looked almost like an ivy (although it didn't grow like an ivy and am almost positive it wasn't one). The plant was extremely hardy- I remember her telling me she'd forgotten to water it for weeks on end and it bounced back. She had it all over the place because it multiplied like crazy. Maya 3-d modeling dark spots with clean geometry?

sometimes when i model in maya, dark spots appear on the surface. this has noting to do with textures its all about geometry. when i create a low poly object and smooth it, sometimes the dark ring appears along edgeloops on certain spots of the model. i dont understand its annoying. is there something that isnt clean on my model? the model is all quads, all the vertices are joined together where the edgeloops appear. the quads are not twisted up either where it seems like it'll need to be defined by a simpler polygon

Why is the world so different now than it was in the first half of the 20th century?

I've read tens of dozens of books about the early 1900's, especially WWI and WII. I amazed to step into that old world, and then walk out into modern society to see such stark differences. For example, it is amazing to me that in the 1930's, Germany had political inations almost every week and that was seen as normal. Then the hyperinflation in Germany... things like that. Of course we've had our 9-11 and things of that nature, but overall you walk outside and the world seems pretty stable. What changed? And in your opinion, do you think it can only remain this way for so long before there's some other huge conflict that comes out of the blue like WWI did?

I was denied unemployment for "gross misconduct" in california....?

My former employer terminated me because he believed I was intoxicated, which I wasn't. They did not test me via any means, and I was sent home with someone. The union rep suggested in a follow-up hearing with my employer that I "admit" to being intoxicated because they would then more likely try to get me help, etc. After "admitting" i was intoxicated, I was subsequently terminated. When I gave unemployment a try, I was truthful and told the interviewer I was not intoxicated, and she specifically asked if my employer tested me when he thought I was intoxicated, which I of course answered "no." Just today, I received a denial letter for unemployment benefits for "gross misconduct." I was essentially terminated on hearsay without evidence, what are my chances of winning an appeal? Please refrain from slander and pseudo-liberterian remarks, anyone can be tough on here. Thanks.

Smoke From My Truck Exhaust?

I drive a 1988 Chevy Blazer 4x4 5.7L TBI and have been experiencing some problems with it. First of all, it has the original engine in it with about 150K+ miles on it. As far as i know, it has never had any major repairs on it and has always ran faithful sense the day I purchased it. It has always smoked a little bit when i start it, but then once it warms up, the smoke goes away. About 3-4 months ago, I noticed that even after its warmed up, it still smokes, not really heavy, but enough to leave a pretty good smoke screen behind my truck. I have thought it is the valve guide seals. Well, i took it out the other day to get a bite to eat, and i floored it, and my engine stopped for a good half second to a full second, then kicked over and took off, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw that it was pouring out smoke. I look in it every day now when i drive and it smokes all the time, and even after i turn the car off, it smokes. The smoke doesn't really look blue, and ive been told blue smoke means its burning oil, but it isnt pure white. What is wrong with it? is there an antifreeze leak? Blown Head Gasket? Valve Guide Seals? I recently changed the Spark plugs, and fuel filter hoping to smooth the ride out but when it gets into its " heavy Smoking" phase, the engine seems like its trying so hard to push while Bellowing out smoke. Help!!! I have Pictures if that would help!

How can I get my boyfriend to be more respectful of my apartment?

I'm not a neat freak, but I like to have a clean apartment. A bit OCD i suppose. The problem is my BF practically lives with me (stays over nightly, has toiletries, clothes and other stuff). I don't mind him staying here, but it is MY apartment and when i say this he says i'm over reacting and he's not perfect. I used to look the other way on most things, but when i get up at 4am to pee and trip over his shoes, almost fall in the toilet because the lid is up and then have no toilet paper, i get a bit peeved. Is religion the reason of your miserable life?

This is weird. Religion ruined my life too. I was slapped by nuns. I asked questions that pissed them off. When my dad died I wanted him cremated in a nice urn. I was so drug up by sedatives the family took it upon themselves to make the arrangements behind my back and I had a notarized affidavit stating his wishes and they ripped it up. They were so happy at the wake and funeral it sickened me to the point of almost attacking my uncle if two men didn't hold me back. My dad and I were very close. When my parents divorced I went with him. I am also an only child which makes me have total control of the funeral. My father was my best friend. It will be six years on the 24 of this month that he ped on. I did have him exhumed and cremated and now he is with me. NOT buried next to those evil hypocrites who destroyed me life. The Catholic religion ruined my life and I hate them all now. The worst thing is that these religious people do NOT care about our lives being destroyed and not only that they shove their beliefs down your throat and say mean vile things which goes against what they preach. Shotgun plinking can be fun but there are a few limitaions.... If you will be shooting bird shot or skeet loads you will get bored real fast..... Your gun goes pow and nothing really happens.... I plink with buckshot and slugs..... 2 3/4 inch 9 pellet buckshot is great. 2 3/4 inch slugs are great to target shoot with. ...... TRUST ME on this - DO NOT shoot anything 3 inch. The recoil is really obnoxious!! Yeah you might be a tough guy but after 4 or 5 rounds of those you will wish you didnt..... I am able to shoot about 40 to 50 rounds of 2 3/4 inch slugs or buckshot before my shoulder bothers me... As long as your blasting away put up a couple of big sheets of paper and fire at it with the buckshot from various distances.... That way you can get an idea what pattern your shells shoot.... Dont forget the ear plugs and safety gles!!! Have Fun!!

For some reason, I am having a very unusual reaction when I am eating hickory smoked beef jerky. I've had other beef jerky these past weeks, but today I decided to try a different brand. Bipolar II and caffeine?

Wondering if anyone (Bipolar or Bipolar II or something similar) has had similar experiences. My bipolar II is mostly depression btw. When I would get together with my friend sometimes I would have caffeine, like an energy drink (monster) or energy shot, sometimes both or three things throughout the day. I took them just so I would be hyper and have more fun, whether I was feeling depressed or just ok. What's weird is sometimes it would do nothing, or even make me tired, and other times (usually) it would affect me, often a great deal. I would get to the point where my mouth is running and i'm being weird and hyper and trying not to laugh hysterically and it's all good and i really get fidgety (this is all to a big extent and compared to my normal somewhat to very depressed states not usual of me), or it'll not be so good and I'll get anxious and irritated (usually not though) or almost to the point of tears just cause i'm overwhelmed with emotions (though not necessarily bad). or if i'm by myself my mind starts racing in a self-destructive fashion, but I like it almost, and i pace and can't concentrate. Point is, I thought maybe I was just reactive to caffeine in general, but then i read online that sometimes people report getting hypomanic like symptoms when taking even mild amounts of caffeine. Has anyone experienced something this? just wondering if this is more about being bipolar or nothing like that. thanks

I have a friend he has a great personality and heart. I enjoy being with him on a more than friendship level. He has a lot of health issues. He says he doesn't take water pill because it makes him urinate to often. I would LOVE to have an 04' Mazda RX-8, and what's funny is.. My parents spent alot more money on the Montero rather than getting me an RX-8 that is about 9k-10k cheaper... Ok what its like is deep fear. Im usually running away from a man with white hair, wearing a long black cloak, and with red eyes. Its really scary. Am I ready for a ferret?

I live in a race car trailer with living quarters, 24 feet long, 8 feet wide, 6 and 1/2 feet high..Its a full time house, meaning we don't haul anything with it. What I'm asking is, is my house the adequate size for a single male ferret? I live seperate from my parents (they have their own RV) and sisters. My sisters are 6 and 3. They'd have little interaction with the ferret. I'm willing to buy a large cage and plenty of toys and accessories! We do travel alot, but I've heard ferrets travel well. What can I do legally about getting owed money from a roommate that was not on the lease?

I moved in with 2 other people and signed a lease. We then added another person in to the house with out the landlords knowledge. Rent was split so we paid 180 each. I then paid my way out of the lease, but when I did I had to pay the full 300 because our landlord did not know she was living with us. She refuses to pay me the money back, even with an installment type plan saying "You chose not to stay why should I have to pay for it?" Also, we were budgeted on our gas bill and since no one had good credit it went in to my name. Because I turned it off when I paid my way out she refuses to help me pay that back as well. We only had three more months left of the lease it's not like we had a year to go! Is there anything I can do legally? Or because she was not on the lease do I have no rights?

Ok my period is due in one day and i am anxious because although we haven't been trying we are hopeful. I took a pg test 3 days ago and it was negative it was a clearblue test that is supposed to give you results in like 5 days before(atleast thats what the box says so i believe them). I have the worst crampy feelings in my stomach like i am about to start so i've been wearing a pad because i am losing hope now. I was told that I "didn't" burn down the house. I understand that it's kind of a bitter sweet thing. I am not the one who sent our family spiraling into an accidental depression. However, my brother, who admitted he was at fault, waited 30 years before spilling the beans. I endured a brat (other) brother who brought up the subject to all my friends and families at every get-together for 26 years of bearing false witness. I endured parents who loved me, but, didn't spend much on me as they did on the non-black sheep. I lost the respect to a brother I had idolized for 26 years. Everyone got a chuckle out of the account except me. To this day they think that I am the one who is being unreasonable. No apologies, and an understanding that I have 2 brothers who can't take responsibility for their actions till the statue of limitations, so-to-speak, is up on the punishment. They have no idea what I went through.

Should I be working while taking Codeine 300-30mg 1-2 tablets every four hours?

I have a kidney infection and I'm in pain. I also take Ciprofloxaci 500mg 2x a day. What I do all day is sit down and talk to customers about their elect bill, outages, disconnections, reconnection, and so on. I started taking these medications on Monday morning (1-5-09) I wasn't even aware it was Codeine. I called my mom and told her what I was on. She said Codeine is a narcotic and I can get fired. So I told my supervisor. (I took a 1 around 8:00am and while on my way to work I felt very sleepy, but I didn't pay too much attention cause I'm always sleepy around that time, and I took one at 1:45pm during my lunch break, before I called my mom.) While talking to my supervisor he noticed I was slurring and slow to respond. He told me we had a lot of calls in queue, and that I can't go cause I drove until I felt better. So I decided to stay but to skip on the medication and take it when I got home. I worked, it wore off around 5:00pm. I left at 7:30pm and went home. I ate around 8:30pm and took 2 pills because my side started that stabbing pain again. I kept myself busy (by playing GTA4) then I was out. I called out today. I have a doctors note.

In deep need of finding a way to relax have tried many things and nothings working?

Im going threw tech school in the military right now and the base im going to is not like my old base. I just switched jobs so i have to go to this new base for training. Any ways besides the point, I have realized that I have a seriously terrible stress problem. I am a very mad and angry person and i get stressed very easily by people. When I say mad I dont mean just sittin there in a bad mood, im more along the lines of I scream just to try and get rid of the stress I hit things so hard that I almost break my hands, I throw things hard enough to break them against the wall, I will go to the gym or a pool and work out so hard that I p out from exuastion. And even after doing all of these things I seem to be even worse then I was before I started loosen it. I worry about this now because ive been told that stress and anger like this is extreamely dangerous for my health, and I have been doing deadly martial arts my entire life and the last thing I need is some one to be around me at the wrong time and they end up getting hurt when they shouldnt be. Why does my jg ak47 have low fps?

I just bought a jg ak47 at a swap meet, it was brand new in the box. when i got it home i charged it and shot it with .2g bbs. They immediately curved down after about 5 feet, i adjusted the hop up, but the bbs still came out with low fps and curved down. I then used .12g bbs and after adjusting tthe hop up, they curve down and look to be shooting about 190 fps. I spent $85 on this gun and want to know wats wrong. Thanks

Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer.. What do you think?

For the past year I have experienced pain in one specific area when I have sometimes, headaches almost daily and OTC headache relievers dont help. Since the headaches started in the fall last year I slowly began to feel tired and this has progressively gotten worse! I am now at the point where I can sleep 10-12 hours a day and need to go back to sleep because I feel so fatigued about 8 hours later! I have lost 14 pounds unintentionally but lately I have been bloated, had diarrhea/constipation, back pain from doing normal daily tasks, and look like I am gaining weight even though that is not the case. I have been experiencing really bad smelling gas, cramps/pains not related to my menstrual cycle which has also been very irregular for the past year but very normal up until then/now. I told my gyno that sometimes it hurt when I have back in January and she said to use lubricants and more fore-play. I went for my annual exam a few days ago and it really hurt when she was doing the l exam so I told her it hurt a lot and she stopped and felt around and asked me to tell her when it hurt. She said I have an enlarged and tender left ovary and requested I get a transl ultrasound done. I scheduled an appointment for one this friday and I am really worried. How long will it take to find out what is going on? My mom said they cant tell me when I get the ultrasound that my doctor has to call me after she gets the results is this true and if it is how long should I expect to wait to hear back? I have a lot of symptoms of ovarian cancer and I am worried.. What do you think could be going on?
