Dose san fransico have what it takes to win the nfc west the 07-08 season?

yes they have what it takes,, they quite easily could have won it last year but blew it in the last few games and basically beat themselves out of contention,, the end of the season games they lost were when they went away from gore and ped to bryant,, well no more bryant (thank god) and defenses will have to respect gore to give alex smith more time to p and more open recievers,, good off season pickups on defense also,, but to go deep into the playoffs probably not yet they were beaten badly by the better teams,, alex smith has a long way to go, and i am not sure he is as good as people think he is or is going to be,, they should have drafted brady quinn who was still available for some reason who u could build a team around and i am not convinced a.smith is that guy,, i hope he is,, and i love the niners but as for your question they should at least be in contention to win the west
