Do you think that he likes me?

So we have been best friends for a while now, and one day he asked me if I would go out with him. I said okay, because i didn'tt know that he liked me and i didn't really think he was going to take me out anywhere. after that, i basically avoided him because i didn't know what to do. a few months later, we start talking again and he tells me that he thinks we haven't talked in a long time. i told him that it was because i was uncomfortable since he had asked me out and i didn't really like him. then he tells me that he only asked me out to see if i like him. a few months after that, i find out that he had started going out with one of my friends. i dont really think that he liked her, just as a friend, but she tells me that they have told each other that they love the other many times. now he has move away to texas and i still email him regularly. i asked him what he tought of my as, and he said that i was more than a friend and he considered me as his sister. now i really dont know what to think. please tell me what to do and if he (still) likes me or not!!!!!!!!!!
