I have a weird reaction when I eat hickory smoked beef jerky. My head gets all tingly. Anyone ever feel it?

For some reason, I am having a very unusual reaction when I am eating hickory smoked beef jerky. I've had other beef jerky these past weeks, but today I decided to try a different brand. I swear it gave me tingles inside of my head and the sensation traveled a bit around my back. Is this indicative of some kind of allergic reaction? I've never had this problem with other beef jerky. Anyone ever experience anything like this?
